Since 2001, the Vancouver-based company has expanded to 400+ franchise locations across Canada, the United States, England, and Australia. Nurse Next Door believes it’s all about caring, not just health care. They believe in providing care that goes beyond the basics, ensuring seniors have choices in their daily lives and families can have peace of mind.

The Challenges

The objective was to establish authority and credibility through social media channels to generate awareness, increase engagement, and drive new website visitors. A key challenge was building trust within the healthcare community by consistently reflecting Nurse Next Door’s four core values: Admire People, Passionate About Making a Difference, Find a Better Way, and WOW Customer Experience, while also gaining a deeper understanding of how customers, clients, and visitors engaged across different platforms. In a low-competition homecare space, the strategy focused on executing bold, inspiring initiatives that empowered potential clients to embrace the Happier Aging™ philosophy. Campaign goals included improving month-over-month engagement metrics, increasing follower growth over 1, 3, and 6 month periods, and boosting reach per post by 1%.

The Results

The social media marketing mix included Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn to promote Nurse Next Door’s Happier Aging™ philosophy and inspire audiences to celebrate living. The process followed a structured system for brand discovery, content development, creative direction, posting cadence, and reporting. This included a kick-off to gather brand assets and access, development of design templates, and creation of a content calendar across all three channels. Social copy and graphics were drafted for approval, scheduled via Hootsuite, and supported by a monthly reporting dashboard, with consistent weekly content aligned to brand guidelines. Content was built around four key pillars—Services, Education, Holidays, and Inspiration—to ensure variety while reflecting core values.

As a result, a streamlined and consistent content engine was established, delivering relevant and engaging content. The campaign increased average post engagement by 6% and total followers by 1%, while producing 100+ posts over five months that generated 3.2 million impressions and reached 2.9 million users. Additionally, 98% of inbound messages were positive or neutral. Key insights showed that franchise-related LinkedIn posts drove the highest engagement, Bold Dreams & Goals posts on Instagram and Facebook achieved 10%+ engagement, and holiday content consistently performed strongly.
